The everlight M series infrared receiver module includes three styles: M, M2, and M3, which can be matched with the application needs of different users. Although the M series is mainly used for multimedia audio and video systems, the infrared receiver module (IRM) can also be applied to a variety of applications. IRM can suppress the light source noise of TFT screen backlight, reduce current consumption, lower operating voltage, and be compatible with various remote control code formats on the market. The main difference between the M series (M, M2, and M3) lies in the format of the remote control code. M type is particularly suitable for high data volume and SMS remote control code formats, such as digital set-top boxes (STBs) and other multimedia systems or keyboard applications. M2 is specifically designed for fast and repetitive signals in general remote control formats, while both M and M2 types are suitable for continuous signal format transmission. The M3 type is designed to support common infrared remote control code formats and can suppress various light source noises, including plasma TVs and other applications.
The difference between the M series and other infrared receiving modules is that it enhances the effectiveness of the bandpass filter. Due to the narrower bandwidth, the noise suppression function is more powerful. Especially in the application of multimedia systems, because the light noise of TFT backlight and light source is quite similar to the frequency of the remote control, improving the above functions is a very important factor for the M series to play a powerful role. In addition, the EVERLIGHT M series is equipped with a more powerful AGC algorithm system to enhance immunity to TFT optical noise. Another advantage of the EVERLIGHT M series is to enhance the stability of the output pulse. All infrared receiver modules (IRM) have different output pulses depending on the transmission distance and noise. If the variability of the output pulse is too large, the decoding integrated circuit will not be able to detect the signal correctly. If this situation occurs in electronic devices that have already been manufactured (such as televisions, digital set-top boxes (STBs), etc.), they will not be able to receive signals from the remote control or make incorrect signal judgments. Therefore, the high stability of the Yiguang M series can solve this situation.
